Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with WIX
SEO clearly used to be a dark spot for WIX. Flash is neither loved by search engines nor by Apple. But with the new HTML5 editor all of this has changed. Let's check out the details:
Page URL, title and description
The new editor allows you to edit your SEO-settings per page. You have total freedom, which is great. Forget the limitations of the old Flash editor.
Deep linking
Yes, deep linking used to be an issue with the old Flash version of WIX. When navigating a site it usually showed the main URL by default
Not anymore, WIX HTML works just like any other HTML-based website, i.e. you can grab that URL of the page you are currently on and send it to friends.
The URLs can look a bit weird but that's fine for Google. Twitter, for example, is doing the same thing.
Loading times
Long loading times are a reason for visitors to drop off before they even look at the site. And that was one big issue with the old Flash websites.

From what we experienced we are confident to say that Wix HTML5 sites load much faster than their old Flash websites.
